ALIVE:  $25,000

Provide emergency sanctuary and other services for adults and children affected by domestic violence

Health Protection and Education Services:  $9,480

Offer free health screening services and health education for uninsured and underserved individuals

Humanitri:  $20,000

Provide transitional housing for homeless families, mostly women and children, fleeing domestic violence

Immigrant and Refugee Women’s Program:  $15,000

Provide classes in English and living skills to foreign-born women in their own homes

Little Bit Foundation:  $25,000

Give clothing and supplies to disadvantaged school children

Lydia’s House:  $15,000

Provide long-term care, support and follow-up services for victims of domestic violence

The Maren Fund:  $15,000

Provide academic and social support to help teens with Down Syndrome become more independent

Near Southside Employment Coalition:  $15,000

Provide computer and office skills training for adults who have experienced barriers to employment

Perennial:  $18,512

Teach the creative reuse of discarded items to diverse populations, including women in transition

Springboard to Learning:  $20,050 

Provide hands-on training in science, engineering and literacy for young, female minority student

TWIGS:  $10,000

Provide free lunches for at-risk children during the summer months in the Metro East area
