Dolly Chugh is a Harvard-educated, award-winning social psychologist at the New York University Stern School of Business, where she is an expert researcher in the psychology of good people. Her book, The Person You Mean to Be, is an inspiring guide on confronting difficult issues such as sexism, racism and inequality. Through personal stories and the science that supports her findings, Dolly guides us closer to becoming the person we mean to be in the hopes that her findings will help us make the world a better place.

This video interview, recorded in February 2021 and sponsored by the University of Michigan’s Center for Positive Organizations, touches on the main findings from the book, punctuated with personal stories and practical tips. It is engaging and offers the chance to dip your toes into some very challenging subject matter. Members and guests have the option of viewing just the video for the discussion or reading the book.
