Volunteer Event – Preparing Materials for Girls in the Know

Help prepare period packets for Girls in the Know Empowerment Workshop graduates. Each girl who completes the program receives a packet containing tampons, maxi pads, and panty liners along with a handwritten note of affirmation. Volunteers will compose notes and packets. 

Donations of tampons, maxi pads, and panty liners are welcome. 

Girls in the Know’s (GITK) Mission is to empower girls to embrace a strong sense of self with a vision that every girl will know – I AM ENOUGH!

Knowledge is power, and the more she knows, the more a girl can confidently navigate adolescence, advocate for her needs, and share with and encourage others.

Partnering with school districts and community organizations, we empower girls with educational programs and resources, open dialogue, mentorship and continued support during their preteen and teenage years.

Parking: Currently parking will be on the street (visitor parking is under construction, but may be available by November). Enter the building on Belt Avenue. Check in at the front desk and ask to see Peggy Maull.
