November Book Discussion

Join us to discuss the women who led the way in founding National Public Radio.  NPR was established in the 1970 ’s as an alternative to traditional news broadcasts and offered new opportunities for women to join the news media.  This is the story about how Cokie Roberts, Susan Stamberg, Linda Wertheimer, and Nina Totenberg led the way.  It ’s also an account of the changes in news reporting during that era and the changing of the way America perceived women and how women perceived themselves. 

We will enjoy the camaraderie of being together, sharing some wine and appetizers and discussing our thoughts and feelings about a good book!
