How does someone become a refugee, far from their homeland, and end up settling in St. Louis to build a new life?

Please join us to hear from Paul Costigan, Senior Vice President for Operations and Missouri Refugee Coordinator for the International Institute of St. Louis.  The International Institute has served immigrants in our region since 1919 and leads the effort of resettling refugees in eastern and southwestern Missouri.

Paul will explain the resettlement process and the agencies they partner with. He will also discuss how things are different today from resettlement in recent years, and the new challenges for the services provided to the wave of Afghan refugees arriving in St. Louis.  Find out how this is a community-wide effort.

Bring your questions for the Q&A portion of the program. All are welcome to attend!  Zoom information will be sent with registration.
